PCCL participates in the EU-funded project ““Poly4EmI – Polymeric Materials for Emerging Industries“, which deals on the one hand side with the potential of biopolymers and on the other innovative policy for cluster collaboration are tested.

Within this project, PCCL focuses – with support by experts from JOANNEUM RESEARCH - POLICIES – on the establishment of an empirical basis on key areas and dynamics in the field of biopolymers in Slovenia, Europe and globally. This is carried out using bibliometric micro data from Thomson Reuters Web of Science (Web-of-Science-Core-CollectionTM) and global patent micro data from EPO Worldwide Patent Statistical Database (PATSTAT/REGPAT). The intention is to provide a proper basis for discussions in the subsequent Delphi and Expert workshop, which is currently in progress.

The further partners of this project – which is funded by the DG Enterprise and Industry within the scope of the program “Clusters and entrepreneurship in support of emerging industries” - are the Slovenian Ministry of Science, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Slovenian Automobile Cluster and the competence center Polimat. Further information are available on the project website www.poly4emi.eu.
