The COMET program line supports the establishment and operation of centers of excellence where academia and industry collaborate over the long term to develop innovative solutions to industrial and societal challenges. The goal is to combine excellent research with high practical relevance, thereby creating sustainable innovation momentum for companies and Austria as a business location. The focus is on strategically important future-oriented topics that are addressed jointly by research institutions and industry partners.
As part of this funding program, Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH has also been funded as the PCCL-K1 center since its founding in 2002. In addition, we coordinate the two COMET modules BattLab and Repairtecture, which address specific research priorities in the areas of innovative material and repair solutions as well as sustainable energy storage systems. This further strengthens the targeted transfer of scientific findings into industrial applications and sustainably promotes the international competitiveness of the participating partners.
