In the RETINA project, Austrian and Slovenian research institutes are networked in the field of materials science. Through a central network access, enterprises in the border area in particular should profit.

The RETINA project, launched on June 1, 2017, is being implemented within the framework of the INTERREG V-A-Slovenia-Austria program, linking a unique cross-border consortium. The Primorska Technology Park (SLO), Kemijski Inštitut (SLO), the University of Technology, Graz, are headed by the Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH (PCCL), which provides its expertise in the field of plastics technology and polymer science Montanuniversität Leoben as well as the Microsensor Research Center CTR Carinthian Tech Research AG (all from Austria).
